Just after golden sunset, the mountain winds have a cool, sage-brush and cedar fragrance. The night sky is deep and dark; stargazing here is spectacular. Listen for owls, elk or coyotes. This property pays homage to folklore and legends surrounding The Hole-in-the-Wall Gang, and iconic Old West stories that revolve around clashes between the law and the outlaw. (The “hole” is a pass eroded in the Red Wall sandstone escarpment of the Big Horn Mountains that was used secretly by Butch Cassidy and the Wild Bunch Gang in the late 1800’s.)
Raw wood, natural stone, hardwood floors, sturdy, rugged wood & leather furniture, butcher block style kitchen counters, pine cabinets, rough-hewn pine accents, and wood paneled vaulted sunroom ceiling give this home a rustic, authentic Old West ambiance. Old West Memorabilia and Hole-in-the-Wall Gang antiquities adorn the lower level bar area.
Enjoy mountain views from every window. There are two master bedrooms with king size beds. Two of the bathrooms have a shower/tub combination, one has a shower, and the other two are half-baths. This spacious home was built for entertaining on a large scale. It sleeps 18 guests, so it's great for either multi- families or group getaways.
